Search for The Skeptics Annotated Bible. It has category-wise verses from the Bible like absurdities, contradictins, hatred, etc from both Old Testament and New Testament.

Also visit the web of Positve Atheism and read the articles available there. If we write here, Rediff will revoke our posting right!!!!!!!

@ JGN ... if you claim not to believe in any religion, then it's your choice.
Poking into other's preferences is none of your business.
Ok, if you want it, give some examples of absurdities, contradictins, hatred and let us all know.

Why are you getting agitated? When you cannot tolerate criticism for your religion, why are you ridiculing our native culutre?

The converts in India are suffering from "Stockholm Syndrome" Pl search the web if you do not know the meaning of this phrase!

Do I sound like I am 'agitated' ... it is kind of the pot calling the kettle black (well almost).
If I was agitated, I would have gone through and read a lot of things about your religions.

As for the Stockholm syndrome, I dont care what it is and what it means. I guess you need to remember the meaning of it more than anyone, since you need to claim the other always suffers from it.

you may talk about them, it is all known. No one disagrees.
But in this forum we are talking about one such instance, not that anyone is falsely alleging anything on the 'saint'.

so if anything a 'hindu yogi' does, does not call for criticism, but if that is done by someone from another religion, it is proof in itself ?

Why do you get agitated Abhinav?
What lyrics are you referring to ?

As for what you have pasted from wikipedia ... here's my take on it.

If you had to choose between what Mia Farrow said and what Paul McCartney said, why would you prefer McCartney ? Because he said something that you agree with, or what you would have wanted to hear ?

Are your parents healthy ? Mine are too. Is this part of your religion to drag parents when the discussion is about some person who passed away in some part of th world ?

Do I even need to mention what happens in Iskcons ?
I have heard from hindu friends of mine .... but I must admit I did not bother hearing the entire eposides, as they did not matter to me in anyway.
Do you think a similar documentary on Iskcon would be tolerated in a 'tolerant' country of ours ?

and that applies to you too @JGN, but you have defended well as you claim to not follow any religion. But it is still a matter of how much you know and how much you think is true.

Mr. Deepak, Go back a few pages of this discussion board and see what I have written about meditation (as per world renowned rationalist, the late Dr. A.T. Kovoor)! Then you will be clear about my ideology.

Pl answer this: There are more than 2000 religions the world over and some of them have hundreds of sects. Each religion has its own god/gods. Every one is sure that the god/gods of other religions are false. Then what makes the believers that the god of their religion only is true????

I still dont see the reason for reading what you have pasted in some other post.
But I still would like to know who gives you the freedom of insulting/questioning someone else's religious beliefs?

Deepak, you are a narrow minded person. I also do not believe in the meditation nor in any god! Why don't you atleast read what I had written? The tile is "Dr. A.T. Kovoor on meditation" (probably on page No. 5 of this discussion board).

And for your kind info, I have read The New Testament and Old Testament, The Mahabharata, The Ramayana, The Koran and parts of religious scriptures of many other religions. Atheists are not ignorant fools, but they know about religions better than the followers.

I am asking you Abhinav, you claim to have read it ... I am asking you. Tell me. Tell us all.
Unlike you, I am not questioning many of things you claim and believe yourself, because I believe that all religions are sacred to individuals. I would like to know how much you know about Christianity, or whether you know only enough to spread these kind of messages on the forum.
