IS HINDUISM COMPATIBLE WITH THE AGE OF SCIENCE?
by on Feb 04, 2008 05:24 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Is there any historically documented evidence to prove that Rama ruled India? Can any of the so-called Brahmin scholars quote any Western historian to support them? For example where is Hanuman's bridge today? Is the moon on top of the Himalayas? Can immorality be identified with religion?
The Puranas and Vedas state that a true Brahmin should not cross the sea and that is the reason behind Rama asking Hanuman to build a bridge to Sri Lanka. But today Brahmins not only cross the sea but they are working as airline pilots etc. The Achariyas (Brahmin priests) have now passed a resolution saying that the egg is a vegetable food and therefore may be eaten by Hindus. Bengali Brahmins are already eating fish claiming that it is a water flower.
Brahmin women are not only remarrying, but they are also marrying men from other castes. Thanks to reformist like Dr. Ambedkar, E.V.'R. Preriar, Lord Pending and Dr. Ramdas, many low-caste Hindus have now become administers, scientists and even priests.
To know more about Hinduism, please read the Vedas and Puranas with an unbiased mind. Before long, you will see a big difference in the way that you view the Hindu religion.

These People themselves do not know what is Hinduism.
There is no one hindu who is practicing Hinduism.
Vedas are ignored. Teachings of Upanishads ignored.
Vedic language samskrutham is no where.
No one knows sanathan dharm.
One man one wife system existing.
20% of hindus only practicing vegetarianism.
80% alchoholism.
Drunkards and gambler are temple governers
Men who dont know sanskrit are doing poojas in temples.
People are praying to deformed idols. E.g. Guruvayur temple idol, shivling of Himalayas
Most of the east and north east areas are converting to Christianity.
You have to amend the code of conduct of shankaracharyas.

aceventura, people like you are the main reason for the intolerance. Though I do not believe in the dogmas of any religion, I would say hinduism is dynamic enough to change witht the times.

The hindus do not swear by "one book" nor do they have to obey the dictates of any religious leader.

Hinduism is dynamic enough to change with the times.

And you people are just ridiculing your own ancestors when you write such things against of native culture.

Neither the Muslims came from West Asia nor the Christians came from Euorpe. The present day Muslims and Christians in India are the decendants of those converted at one point or other in history for various reasons.
