If the CM says this with so much confidence it should be right. But all the same it should be strongly observed by the entire tamil nadu state politicians that this is no laughing matter. The LTTE are a menace to sri lanka and will become the same to south india if we dont watch out. These are mindless cold blooded drug addicted killers who have no more human feelings left in them anymore. They dont even know what they are fighting for. They just want ti kill and kill.They are exploiting the issue of 'tamilness' with the tamils of south india. Believe me. These are mere opportunists and users. They are not a nice people.This can be said of the entire jaffna tamil people too. They have no love nor respect for india or indians.They do not wish to be associated with the tamils of india whom they hold in secret contempt and derision. The tamil govt of india should understand this very seriously and not bother with their problems at all. Leave this problem to sri lankan govt. It has nothing to do with us. absolutely nothing. Remember these are not tamils. These are malayalis who speak tamil. They even say so themselves. They do not want to be associated with the tamils of south india. But just because it suits their agenda extremely well now they always cosy up to the TN govt. The TN govt should wake up and expel this idea of 'Tamil brotherhood' once and for all. This is only a myth and will only create murder and mayhem in TN. These people did not even hesitate to kill Ind PM.

For a person with a so called Arab Muslim name you seem to be having a wonderful knowledge of the Jaffna or Eelam Tamils and they inner thoughts. So what are your thoughts on the large scale ethnic cleansing and genocide of the Eelam Tamils. The ariel bombing shelling and destruction of Tamil towns and villages in the North and East. The destruction of Hindu temples and Churches. What about the daily bombings of Tamil homes hospitals schools and orphanges. The deliberate policy of terrorising and emptying Tamils from Tamil lands so that thses can be occupied by Sinhala colonists. Usually ex Army men criminals and thugs.Tell me Ashrawi, who has the same name as the Palestenian freedom fighter Hanan Ashrawi. What about the systematic marginalisation of Tamils since independence. by denying them higer education opportunities, and employment. and the use of the Tamil language is that fine by you too. Since you scorn them and think that they are nasty people. So you are n Indian so how are so familiar withthe Jaffna Tamils thier culture way of life if you have been living in India. ANd how is it that you hate them and pour scorn on them so much without any pity on thoer terrible plight. A person cannot pour such hate on a another without knowing them and i strongly suspect that you are a Sinhala or a Srilankan Tamil Muslim. were al part of an area which was once called ancient Tamilakam. Do you understand this means the land of the Tamils. All inhabitants in this area at one time were Tamils and speakig Tamil. It is a wel known fact that the culture of teh Mukkuva Hindu Tamils of eastern Sri Lank is very close to the people of modern Kerala. the Mukkuvas stil sxist in Kerala and parts of Tamil Nadu only thing in Tamil Nadu they have become largely Catholic whereas in EElam they are largley HIndu. Even many of teh customs an dculture of the Northern Jaffna Tamils is vvery matriarchical liek Kerala and teh style of cooking foodhabbits is more similar to Kerala and Southern Tamiil Nadu. . Eelam Eelavar the Ezhavas of Kerala and the Idigas of Andhara are the same people.The Sri lankan Tamil dialect is the closest to Cangam Tamil and stil retains many old Tamils words that is still used in Malayalam but has gone out of usage in the Tamil spoken in Tamil Nadu. Remeber that all these people were one Tamil people . Unitl the advent of Buddhism and a limited amount Aryan migration occurred in Sri Lanka aroeund 2300 years ago. this resulted in the Tamils in the southern central and north central parts of Sri lanka becomiing Buddhist and Sinhala. European Colonisation saw the Tamils in the western and southern littoral of Sri Lanka becoming Sinhala. Soon after independence teh Tamils in NEgombo Chilaw and Puttlam were forecibly assimilated as Sinhalas.Only the NOrth and East of Sri Lanka has remained

Tamil for the past thousands of years. This Tamil identity and lands for the past 2500 years had been safeguarded from Sinhlalisation and encroachment by the Cholas Pandyans then the the powerful Tamil Kings of Jaffna and the powerful Tamil chieftans called the Vannimars ruling teh Vanni and the East of Sri lanka. Remeber the last independent Tamil kingdoms or chiefdoms to fall were not in India but in Sri Lanka when the Vanni (cuurent LTTE stronghold ) fellto the British in 1820. This is the same Vanni that gave refuge to many Eelam Tamils when they hid in the jungles of Vanni to escape the forced converion to Catholism by the Portuguese in the 1500s . thi sis the reason still around 80 % remained HIndu. BUt this unique Tamil identity and ancient Hindu culture is great peril of being destroyed . 1) by this Sinhlas genocide and approriating Tamil landa by force since independence. 2) Poor helpless tamil refugees scattered everywhere aroudn the world in a very vulnerable position being ripe ofr conversion by Christian churches as they have no where else to turnt to. What the Portuguese could not do is now being done by the Sinhlaas within 60 years of independence. they had eyed these ancient Tamil lands for teh past 200 years but have never been able to lay their hands on them. These Tamils had been a pain on they dream of a pure Sinhala Buddhist land. The British gave the opportuniuty to them. Remeber the Eelam Tamils are fighting for Tamil not for Malayalam.

Malayalam is an offshoot of Tamil. It really seperated from Tamil only around 300 years ago. Until that even the court and administrative language of the Trvancore court was Tamil as Malayalam had not evolved enough and was stil considered as form of Tamil. This language was called Manipiravalam. So how is this person calling the Jaffna Tamils as Tamil Speaking Malayalis. Is this person crazy . Tamils and teh Tamil language gave birth to Malayalam so teh child is like the parent and not teh other way around. This post by this so called Ashrawi was willfully posted to mislead and create mishief and I suspect this person to be a Sinhala. Look at teh scorn this person has for the Jaffna tamils
