Do you know what you are talking about? If we were intolerant, we would have 200 million people lesser in India. Of course we would have been much more prosperous then. Our father of the nation decided let india be secular without have any sort of vote on what the real hindustani wanted. We should have had a vote about our country being india or 'hindu'stan when we got independance. A nation with one religion can propel much faster towards prosperity without internal riots.
