Concerns
by Mohan A on Feb 02, 2008 01:09 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Normally Defence system takes care of its personnel than any of the known organisations. This incident is unfortunate and certainly Authorities will come out with reason for mishap. Also, hope they will amend SOPs to take of this shortfalls if any. As of now, no separate judicial enquiry is required. NAVY will conduct fair Court of Enquiry and will record findings.
At this juncture, we responsible people should not add salt on injury by stating ' no officer is dead'. Soldier means everybody.

Just because the system takes crae of the dead does it mean that we should not know as to what actually happened. How long will our armed forces hide under the national security and secrecy. I amsure that by the time the inquiry is over the Captain will get his Promotion along with his Chief Engineer . In any case I am sure they must be busy trying to cook up stories to show how hard they tried. Also the fact is that ONLY sailors died and Officers who are suppossed TO LEAD FROM FRONT did not. Noone is adding salt to injury. It is only FACTS

Are you from Defence Forces? by your reply you cannot be one.Accidents happen on roads also and people die. This is an unfortunate aaccident which has happenned on board Jalashwa, doesnt mean the people responsible were sleeping or as you say were hiding.History of the Armed Forces reflects the LEADING FROM THE FRONT ethos of our brave leaders and there are enough examples to support what I mean "FACTS".And lastly those who are in this buisness wont hide behind as you call them secrecy, they have to answer to the men under command.HAVE FAITH IN YOUR ARMED FORCES.
