What our Bengali intellectuals are doing? If they really care about common people - Where is Meda patkar? Where is Aparna Sen? Why don't they go to villages and make some campaign - that will help to increase awareness amoung common people? At least plolitical leaders go to the ground - they do some good work they do some politics. But these intelectuals do only politics.
