News to me..We also have green colour in our National Flag . Do u mean our nation is greedy. Muslim selected Green, because hindu had Red as their favorite. Muslim Grown beard, since hindus don't have that. It is just a opposite of all hindu practise. It is another political party of that time. Nothing else !

Mr. Swaminathan, with all the respect in the world to my National Flag, let me remind you the fact that the orange colour represents Hindus, green represents Muslims and white represents Christians. This is the fact of the matter, how much-ever some one denies it. Now, you conclude yourself as an answer to your question!!

Disgusting to know the wrong iterpretations of colours of our flag. fisrt of all there is no orange or red colour in our tricolour. We have saffron for purity and spirituality, white for peace and truth, green for fertility and prosperity and the ashok chakra for justice/righteousness. There is no relation to any relegion in this. Please keep you relegious prejudices to urself and don't malign sanctity our flag.

The Tricolour do not represent any religion. and rather it should not..otherwise In our country some other religion can ask to include their colour aswell..and because of dirty politics of vote bank it may happen ...( Unfortunately though !!)

IT IS A SIGN OF SECULARISM, THIS SHOULD BE NOTED BY A HARDLINER HINDUS WHO ALWAYS ABUSE MUSLIMS AND WANT THEM TO GO OUT OF INDIA WHICH IS NOT GOING TO HAPPENS BUT THERE IS A POSSIBILITY OF DIVISION IN PRESENT UNITED INDIA. EX PRIME MINISTER (RSS MEMBER HARDLINER) PV NARSIMHA RAO ALREADY SAID IN HIS SPEECH WHEN MUMBAI WAS IN RIOTS AND MUSLIMS WERE BURNT AND KILLD BY MAJORITY HINDUS.

Dear all, This is not just in reply here.
As long as we cling on to our favorite example of excesses by the other side there is not going to be any progress on this issue. This issue will hold hostage all other issues. Lets once for all forget all such nasty examples and move on together.
And what is with this wrong interpretations of the colors?? Are people going mad?? Go out for a walk, smell the flowers, live your lives.

I think Mr. Vikram must read the tri colour definition as mentioned in the Indian constitution, before making his own definitions, or read what Jack has written. Do not be misinformed or misguide others.
