The headline should have read Maharani Mayawati*, has decided on her heir. The manner in which this insignificant news has found place in media clearly shows that the media(rediff) considers her Maharani as does the Mayarani herself. * (I'm not sure whether Maharani is used in case of so called unwed)

A very very large population of this country accepts her as thier leader. She has earned it and has not inherited it from her family. You must respect the choice of people.
