Have you heard a name called G L Nanda ?
by Ysh on Aug 09, 2008 05:26 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Late Nanda was PM on 3 or 4 occassions albeit for short periods. But he was leading a life of penury. He was washing his o clothes. He was at the mercy of well wishers for his daily grub.I do not know if we have a statue for him somewhere.

Compare him with present aspirants of PM posts.

With confidence I can tell ,there is no statue of Shri Gulzari Lal Nanda. And why U expect it to be?
Do you want all our leaders to stand before the statue to stand in ashamed manner?

Compare him with the behind-the-scene powers. Ours is a democracy!! Makes me laugh at the public in general.

I wash my own clothes but I neither live in penury nor have any delusions that I should be the PM one day.
