- Anil Kakodkar is not a politician. He does not understand the finer nuances of politics and International relations.
To ask for "clean and unconditional waiver" publicly, in such a sensitive geo-political setup is just being naive.
At this moment, we do not a need a nuclear scientist to lead and push our agenda through. He may be a good nuclear scientist / administrator, but does not have panache of diplomat.
It's time for diplomats and lobbyist to take charge.
Anil Kakodkar has been a back-room boy. And let him be.
To get "clean and unconditional waiver" should be our aim. USA and Indian diplomats are working over time for that.
But to demand "clean and unconditional waiver" publicly is like asking for a "virgin bride" through newspaper advertisements.

yeah right, the honest scientist should be packed off and double dealing bureaucrats should step in. If if wasnt for Kakodkar, that deal would be just another name for NPT.
