Jesus is Issa and Christ is title
by sridhar gorantla on Aug 05, 2008 09:56 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

There is a major misunderstanding about this. The original name of jesus is Issa (or Issai as he was known in most of Asia and other places where he spent his time in his early life).

Also, the word Christ is a title given to a person who attained a certain level of Enlightment, similar to the wrods "Siddha", "Jivanmukta", "Paramukta" titles in Hinduism.

Lord Jesus was of the enlightment level which is of the highest level, like the state of "Paramukta" in Vedic Hinduism.
