There should be some purpose to build the sethu, which we (ordinary people) cannot analyse. What was the strategic planning analyse / implement by Lord Rama we cannot even imagine.
Infact for your information Rawan was using aeroplance (puspak viman), so the techonology of flying was there than why not ships. But to make the bridge was surely a higher purpose or goal.
The purpose to unite Srilanka with India.
And for all general public to use this sethu for business and religious purposes.
This same bridge was exist till 15th Century and due to no maintenance it got destroyed by climatic impact. A large part is below the sea level, some places it is 4 - 6 feet deep & in some places it is 10 to 12 feet deep. Once it is maintained by govt, I bet it will be surely a international tourist place and India will get much more foreign currency than the benefit of ship route.

Great to Hear this from you... But guess what you say is a fact... can you please substantiate with proof....Bharat... if its just a story please don't manipulate the whole of india and please don't take all the indians for granted....
