SETHUSAMUDRAM ISSUE
by Dwaraka Nath on Aug 04, 2008 02:16 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

THE POLITICIANS HAVE SCANT RESPECT FOR RULE OF LAW. THE ONLY REMEDY TO BRING THEM TO BOOK IS BAN THEM FROM CONTESTING ANY ELECTION FOR 10 YEARS THEN THEY WILL REALISE. TOO MUCH FREEDOM IS KILLING LAW IN THIS COUNTRY. WHETHER SHOWS THE SAME ATTITUDE AND KEEP ON GIVING TIME TO ORDINARY CITIZENS TO RESPOND TO THE NOTICES. THE GOVERNMENT AND POLITICIANS THINK THEY ARE THE LAW MAKERS AND COURTS CANNOT PUNISH THEM.

Spread the news that Kurananiddi is destroying the 'ADAM BRIDGE' (RAM Sethu) through which Adam crossed over to SriLanka to do a penance for 1000 years at Adam's peak.

See how will UPA and DMK will come forward to save it.

NO ONE IS ABOVE LAW.IN DEMOCRACY WE HAVE TO RESPECT LAW & FOR THIS THE APEX COURT IS ENTRUSTED THE ONEROUS TASK OF STATING/interpreting
THE LAW AS ENSHRINED IN OUR CONSTITUTION.It is an accepted view that the judiciary -pronouncements are to be respected & followed by all & if their judgement is not acceptable the agrieved party can file an application for a review of the judgement.IN constitution there is no provision to disobey the orders of the courts. Our courts are lenient & at times do not want to rub the politicians on the wrong side. This leniency is taken as a weakness. It is unacceptable. True democracy will not survive if court orders are disobeyed.Judicial verdicts should be free from pride & prejudice, free from fear & favour,Free from malice & illwill.Unless Judiciary spell their opinion boldly & effectively in accordance with the letter & spirit of the constitution,it would be construed as a failure of democracy.M.Ps & MLAs have to be told unmistakeably that laws are to be obeyed. The President & the Prime minister should try to see that our judiciary is respected by all, especially by those who are entrusted to rule. The media should take up this issue & educate the people of the wrong-doings of men holding high offices under our constitution.
