Karuna :)
by sreekumar radhakrishnan menon on Aug 04, 2008 02:11 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Karunanidhi says he is an atheist. And is always vociferous against Hindus.

But attended the inaugaration of a movie on St. Thomas which is made in Tamil. In the movie there is a scene in which St.Thomas meets Thiruvalluvar!! Actually thiruvalluvar's period is still in contention. It is assumed he lived the period in between 1200 BC to 200 AD!! And St. Thomas visit of India is actually a figment of imagination of the missionaries. Still Karuna:) finds no problem in endorsing the movie!! He allows the missinaries to roam freely in his state, and gets their vote in return.

The missionaries widely use 'Why I am not a Hindu' written by Kanch Illaih. They distribute this venomous book among SC/ST, translated to Tamil.
And the most ludicrous part of this farce is, actually the missionalries are aping someone who was one of the greatest thorn in their own flesh. The Great 'Burtrend Russel', who wrote 'Why I am not a Christian', and another Intellectual giant who has written a book with the same title !!

Last month I had an opportunity to visit Chennai. While travelling inside the city, I was surprised to see so many offices of different Christian missionaries, virtually after every 1 KM. As someone has rightly said earlier, leaders like Karunanidhi practice selective secularism. But again the same question. When there is so much anger in the minds of people, why don't they vote these people out.

Mr. Ram Mohan, The items listed in sentence 1 are invented by scientists with profound knowledge in their respective fields. They were christians by religion. It is not because they were Christians, they invented all this. Hope you get this.So religion played little or no role in these inventions. Moreover if we look at Indian History, it can be seen that this country was by far the richest and most techologically advanced in the world then. Till Gallileo's time the whole of Europe thought world is Flat. Whereas in India by then our ansestors had perfected Astronomy and distances between earth, planets sun & moon were calculated. our knowledge in the field of Medical research was good. Most of it were destroyed during various invasions and more importantly during the British rule. So instead of sucking up to western concepts and religions, try understanding the richness of our Country. It was the British, French, Dutch and portugese who came and looted India.

Bose,

For three hundred years, ie the period of industrial revolution, we were under British rule. They were not promoting Science here. The education they were giving to a miniscule part of Indians were to make clerks.

Indians were denied this opportunity to explore in science, due to this.

But finally, recently India Locomotive Engineers were sent to Brition to do their work. The reason now they did'nt had the expertice.

Indian engineers are cheap, for such work British engineers must paid 500 pounds per day
British ruled India only for 90 years.for 1857(after sepoy mutiny)and left on 1947,it is not 300 yearsfor your information, all people from menon community were British chamchas or clerks,or just british tax collectors

Yes. contribution of hindus to maths, sci and tech is big zero...who do you think invented zero and the decimal system? without the invention of zero, you will still be using i, ii, iii, iv etc...and will be counting like monkeys for banana :-)

dude....you still dont get it do you...how is all modern technology possible without decimal, binary systems? invention of the system of counting and measuring is the single more important factor towards the growth of science. so if you hate the zero invented by hindus and everything that came out of it, you also should not use the computer ok?
there is nothing wrong with my ego....its just your hatred and prejudice that you dont see things straight. I dont have any inhibitions in using what is best for me irrespective of which religion invented what. Infact I dont even care about it. But since you asked what did hindus invent, I just gave a beginning. Obviously you cant even digest the beginning..and how are you going to digest other great contributions ??

@RAM MOHAN IDIOT, DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING
THE WHOLE MATHEMATICS IN WHICH WE STARTS COUNTING AND SCIENCE IS BASED , IS THE INVENTION OF HINDU-ARYABHATT
-PLANTS HAVE ALSO LIFE-THE GREAT INVENTION -WHO DID? MEGNATH SAHA, A HINDU
-HAVE U FORGOTTEN THAT WHO HAD FOUND THE GREAT MISTAKE IN EINSTINE THEORY, A HINDU FROM SOUTH INDIA!
-AQND THE NUMEROUS CONCEPT FOR INVENTION HAVE BEEN TAKEN BY THE WESTERN FROM HINDU BOOKS LIKE MAHABHARATA, RAMAYANA, BEDA. THE INVENTION WHAT YOU ENJOY NOW, IT ALL EXISTED IN ANCIENT INDIA , IN REVOLUTION CY7CLE ALL HAD BEEN DESTROYED AND THE NEW LIFE CYCLE WHAT WE R VISUALISING . THESE R ALL PROVEN FACT!

He dislikes Hinduism because he dose not want to drink cow’s urine. Instead he wants to drink milk and eat beef. There are historic evidences on St. Tomas’s visit to India. When you say BC (Before Christ) that it self speak history. But what about Thiruvalluvar? Who is he? Is there any evidence there was someone called Thiruvalluvar?. Otherwise also these menons are only the A** lickers of rich landlords.
