Whether it is Mr.Karunanidhi or any one else, politicians of all parties and especially members of the legislatures (and Parliament included) feel that they are not answerable to the judiciary.
Burning of public property, calling for bandhs at the drop of a hat, driving out people of other states from their state, burning of innocent people are instances where the Courts and / or The Election Commission of their own volition should take suo moto action. Trade Unions should also be made to suffer if they inconvenience public.
I think, this is where probably the Election Commission should step in and get itself certain powers to derecognise a political party for showing contempt either to the judiciary or to the Constitution.
