I feel in our country Temples and Dargahs are used by their management (people managing it) just to make money thats why you will find most of the Temples and Dargah are in very conjested and crowded places, and if the location is good than they dont spent anything on the development in and around the Temple or Dargah area. the Management uses this money for many silly things including filling their pockets. if any such incident will happen than they will blame the administration or the Goverment, which is not right. Goverment has a part in development of the area in and around these places but the Temple and the Dargah Management should spent 50% of its money received in Daan and Chadava which will be in Billions of rupees for the development of the area, but they will make Charriots, Mukuts, Domes of Gold and diamond worth rupees Billions for Show Off. Goverment Should make LAW and Bring all the Dargahs & Temples under Income Tax and make them to spent atleast 50% of the Chadava Income for development of the area around it and balance for the projects helping poor people. Lets Make our country a safe place for everyone.

Who cares?.....neither the tample authorities nor the gov.....we can demand but nothing to be happened.......this is the fate of our MOTHER INDIA........inocent people.....i regreat for them

It is most unfortunate the most of the famous temples in India are in private hands who want to grab the offerings and the political parties do not want to annoy brahmin community. It is high time that all the religious places in the country small or big should be managed by trusts not only to look after the welfare of the temple property but also the welfare of the pilgrims. It is high time that Parliament enact a separate legislation other than Societies Act which is worthless and hopeless. This legislation should be brought out in consultation with hindu organisations and scholars including hindu parties. No non-hindu or parties like DMK and muslim league should be associated. Friends whosoever read this article and agree with me should take up the matter with the elected representatives. thanks

It is no secret that management of religious places in our country has dubious record of honesty and fair play. Sadly, people always think that private sector performs better but in the case of management of religious places, our experience is quite different. Almost all the government administered religious places in our country, be it Vaishno Devi or Tirupati Balaji, all of them are doing great service to the ordinary devotees. Whereas religious places under the administration of individuals have hardly been taking care of ordinary visitors. The government must look at administration of all religious places and make touch laws and ensure that the offerings at all religious places are utilized in an honest and fair manner. The comfort and safety of the devotees must be given supreme consideration and it should not be left at the mercy of local greedy priests or their henchmen.

Every religion, there are suckers and inhuman people. If a temple or Durga or Chruch,which does not provide basic amenities and used for personal gains, it should be taken by govt and it should be administered. But the pity is temples Like Palani Murugan and Madurai meenakshi Temple, where there is huge revenue, it is badly managed.Most of Hindu religions holy places are slowly becoming like a backyard.
