Islam not just present peace but also present a mechanisam to protect peace (by Jihad), thats is the gurantee, if Islam is applied to a place there will be not only peace there but a gurantee of it. Your are not scared about Islam you are scared because of your cowardise, because you know you cannot fight or sacrify your life for peace (to protect it from evil), so the easy way out it to blame those who is protecting peace from so called evil powers of the world.
