I used to hear provocative statements in tamil media and tamil movies about KN not giving water to TN. I used to think KN indeed is bad until I moved to Bangalore.
There is no freaking water in Bangalore itself man. Population has grown and there is severe water crunch. Water used to come once in 3 days. Then I realized how foolish it is to expect KN to give water to TN.
Best solution is desalination plant. When congress govt. came at center and PC made statement that desalination plant is going to be set up. I thought atlast solution has come for the water problem in Chennai. 4 and half years is gone and nothing has come up in Chennai and our chief minister is busy fighting to destroy ramar sethu rather spending 1000s of crores in dredging sand which will benefit only Balu than giving water which is a basic need for the people.

Though I agree with you completely on the carelessness of the TN Govt on the desalination plant, i also feel that Cauvery water should be shared properly by two states. B'lore may be facing water shortage now, but K'tka had problems in sharing Cauvery water for many decades. K'tka builds dams and saves water for future usage...But, farmers of TN are dying without water (both for drinking and irrigation purpose). Is this correct?
Also, people of both states should get one thing hard into their skull .... INDIA IS DIVIDED INTO MANY STATES ONLY FOR ADMINISTRATIVE PURPOSE. ONE STATE SHOULD HELP OTHER AND SHOULD NOT CONSIDER OTHER STATE AS ENEMIES. IF TAMILS, KANNADIGAS, MUMBAIKARS, BIHARIS ETC FIGHT AMONG EACH OTHER, HOW CAN WE AS INDIANS FIGHT PAKISTAN, CHINA AND BANGLADESH?

Very much true.States are dvided for admin purpose only.we keep on talking about such paltry issues like"Rjanikanths comments" and our enemies are conducting series bomb blasts in our next door. we dont even care to catch them By mistake if any one is caught due we take years to punish them as in case of Afzal Guru
