Good Job!!
by Sudipto Dey on Aug 01, 2008 08:29 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Kudos to MMS and SG for selling off our country to the Western world (Europe and US). This agreement means that Indian neuclear plants and reactors will be monitored by the West and India will not be able to perform any neuclear tests in future. The reactors will only be used for civil purposes like generating neuclear power.

A good step taken in the positive direction!! Hope the appreciation of the public will be reflected in votes.

Kabhi kabhi kuch jitne ke liye kuch harna bhi parta hai....

Kudos to Mr. Dey and his ilk for their one sided perception!. It is ironical that when the debate for the agreement was to be conducted, the Left and opposition parties were harping only upon the importance of the issue of addressing inflation..as if the entire Govt. machinery would come together to resolve the matter!. And when historical opportunities such as the seeking conclusion of 1-2-3 Agreement exist for ending the long standing isolation of India as non-signatory to the NPT, the talk is about more nuclear tests!. It is indeed ironical that the so called educated class does not seem to give any thought regarding the necessity for conducting of more nuclear tests in an era where simulations and tests of trigerring devices could perhaps suffice and as to what should be the threshold of the nuclear arsenal that India should possess. Hence, is putting the civilian reactors under safeguards seling national interests?.Lol!. Could we leave governance to equally if not more partriotic National leaders, than spewing venom through forums such as this?.

Thanks for your comments. My intention was not to "spit venom" but to bring my view and if that is wrong then get it corrected. As you have correctly done. Thanks once again.

If a person can't spell "Nuclear" correctly it just shows how much he knows about the Indo - US Nuclear deal.

WHY DO YOU WANT TO DO NUCLEAR TESTS ? INDIAN SCIENTISTS CLAIMED THAT they can do those test on a supercomputer itself.

India does not sign the NPT because it's a stupid agreement. It says that since the 5 countries (China, US, Russia, France and UK) exploded nukes before 1962, they are authorized to have nuke weapons and other countries are not. It's very valid and based on principles. That being estabilished, the nuke deal is very important and glad that IAEA has given approval. There is still work to be done here though and it's a stretch goal!

If that is the thinking then I wonder why so many people died during the freedom struggle? Becuase India under the Brits was progressing more than it has done under the last 60 years ... Well that's another thing.. but anyways every body has agreed that MMS and SG has done a good job. So be it.

You are a total fool if you think India was progressing more during British.
Do you know before British came, India was among the top two economies of the world?
British took away India's money and sank the industry as much as they could..
