Trying to be diplomatic at this point of time would be very difficult for lankan govt. who is fighting terrorists. They cannot frame laws that enforce diplomacy and curb offensive at this point of time. specifically, while saying that reach out to "tamil"(pls define this word) community, it self creates a separatist view. As a democracy a nation cannot afford to support sectarianism and partisanship.

Excuse me sir...I understand that people would welcome and love to be tough against terrorism in any form but I hope any civilized human being will not want any racial or ethnic bias that interferes with the human freedom. If people understand this then their would not any problem around. I think this is what USA diplomat has said.
