Gauthami express accident
by raju natarajan on Aug 02, 2008 02:17 PM   Permalink

Scores of innocent lives are lost year after year dut to railway accidents. The authorities put the blame on mechanical or mannual failure or simply attribute the whole incident to sabotage and no lesson is learnt from the past.
We claim ourself to be fast catching up with developed countries in technological development. I wonder can we not have a device to trigger/inform the driven engine over some kind of communication device that all is not will with the compartment in which we are travelling so that the driver can halt the train and limit the loss to live and property? Does it need high technology to invent a simple device? Dont we have expert who can work on that? I have not been able to get a satisfactory answer to the simple question. Can anyone well versed in this field comment?comment?
