Yesterday our PM called female infanticide as a blot on our nation and now this along with dowry deaths. We launch 10 satellites, host Common wealth, but we remain very brutal and backwards towards half of humanity.

Most of these leaders are paying only Lip Service. Our society as a whole has to undergo gender sensitization. Look at the way many communities treat their women, wives, daughters, daughter in law, etc. Many affluent communities are also equally bad. The girl child is dicri,inated against right from birth to childhood, teenage and post marriage. They are looked upon as objects & posession. All this bullshit about Ghar Ki Laaj, Izzat, Paraya Dhan, etc. We worship a godess as Devi and then happily go and burn a woman for dowry or kill the female child in the womb itself. Progress! Humbug. Till the day we accept this hypocracy and right at each individual family level imbibe and teach values and respect for females, such crime will keep happening.
