What's Iran's stand on Kashmir?
by Tathagata Mukherjee on Apr 29, 2008 09:05 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Has Iran ever supported India on Kashmir?

What role they played during Indo-Pak wars?

Fact is, Iran is a country run by fantic Islamist Mullahs.

India will do well without Iran.

actually Iran played a major role in preventing a crucial UN vote against India on Kashmir in the 90s. Vajpayee led the Indian effort inspite of being in the opposition and along with Congress' Salman Khurshid successfully lobbied Iran to abstain, when Pak was expecting a sure-shot vote from them.

There are no permanent friends or enemies ... only permanent interests ... we should be open to allying with everyone instead of no-one aka NAM.
