The words speech below is not mine!but of great C n Annadurai!Shri AnnaDurai's speech given in Parliament!The Parliament has not removed his speech from the records the why should this message be reported for Abuse and Removed by Rediff!There is nothing unparlimentry in this that's why the record is there !And I find very abusive and obsecene languages be written in this forum by members but thoughI never report for abuse and nor others as they rather prefer such abusive languages!This shows the Character dominated by the netizens here!I feel good that now when the issue by Dr. Udipi has been raised most of the Northerns brothers are stating tha English should be the link Language!This proves that Sh,AnnaDurai the great leader was right when he opposed that English should be replaced by only Hindi and Hindi be Satte -centr communiacation language and UPSC exams Of IAS/IPs etc. be conducted in also Hindi thus to certai handiacpping NON-HINDI speaking Indians as it was so felt by them!Why the Marathis feel insecure by Hindi Hegemony in Maharashtra?Why the even Bengali's in this Forum feel the Same?But it is good that now even Northern brothers also want English as Link Language as once Sh. The undue importance English has got in employment and resultant craze for English medium in schools in the country is a cause of concern for the future of all Indian languages, including Hindi, which is spoken by about 40 to 50% of people and which is understood in most of India except South. As per an UN report all Indian languages, except Hindi and Bengali (probably bcz of B'desh, where all work is done in Bengali) will get extinct after a few decades.
Our scripts r the most scientific in the world. Unfortunately these also face extinction.
To avoid above problems all the work in a state should b done in main state language. For learning English, one need not learn all subjects in English (see examples of all non English speaking countries). Moreover English medium schools hv resulted in creating two classes of people in the country. Hence, English medium schools should b banned by amending the constitution.
Thirdly, all 4 South Indian languages should adopt the Telegu / Kannada script and all other languages should adopt Devnagri script (used for Hindi, Marathi, Konkani, Gorkhi, Manipuri etc languages), as all the scripts hv lot of similarities.
Otherwise all our languages and scripts will become a thing of past.
Lastly, as per TN Seshan, USA has added the anti Hindi agitation of Annadurai. I don't think it is difficult to understand the reason behind the American financial help.

The Britishers started imparting English education to the natives of India for meeting their requirement of "Clerks" As a result of English education we have some advantage over other countries. There is no need to fritter away that advange in the name of linguistic chauvinism.
Many experts have recommended that at least till Std.VIII mother tongue should be the medium of Education. That will give the students enough working knowledge in their own language.
