Its quite sad that rediff has chosen to mis-quote Mr Ananthamurthy, and convey the wrong message... Kindly refrain from such devious journalism. If one reads the article, one can understand where he is coming from... such a statement out of context promotes regionalistic tendencies. One could have chosen to highlight other important social issues he has spoken of. Rediff is anyway a popular site, please dont try to increase readership by such cheap tactics

How true. The title boldly says "People living in Karnataka should learn Kannada" whereas somewhere in the last passage he politely mentions "I fervently desire that those people who decide to live in Karnataka should voluntarily learn Kannada".
