Sarabjit will be granted Clemency
by YASAR IMRAN on Apr 26, 2008 06:41 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

So-called students know nothing about the fact that he was framed on terrorism charges, as their relatives were submitted proof for his innocence.

No doubt, Ansar Burney is such a nice human-being, as he is following up with the government of pakistan. I am very sure he will be freed. Also, govt. of India should reciprocate with the same gesture while freeing thousands of pak prisoners lodged in Indian jai.

Fair comments, Yasar Imran. Legal processes should be applied sincerely by both countries. As you say, Ansar Burney took the trouble to come to India, to check out the defence of Sarabjit. He is an intelligent man, or else, he would not have made it to a UN Committee.
The trouble is both Indian and Pakistan play this "tit for tat" game, while the ordinary people are the ones to suffer. India too should examine the cases of every one of the Pak. nationals in Indian prisons. Be fair to them.
