Not about Paki's influence. They have nothing to influence.
This is about protecting our citizens from seeing something which is wrong and incorrect. After all seeing is believing more lies you show more people believe. And what you show people believe that. Look at China they used to blackout foreign channels when they were showing people dying with hunger & cold. They used to show people happy and praising the government during spring festival.
Every government has right to protect its citizens for the sake of greater cause of national interest.
No American channel shows the coffin being brought from Iraq as it will degrade morale of general people.
Controlling the media for national interest must be allowed.
I think in India channels especially Hindi channel like Aaj Tak, Star News all these have degraded their standard showing vulgar and no-news programs for sake of TRPs. Government must have control on the contents to be shown to public.

Pakistanis do have influence over you admit it, why ban them let them run, pakistan gets ALL Indian channels in Pakistan, including Star New and Zee news via Satallite. "Greater national interest" is what Pakistan follows also when it supports kashmiris my freind TIT FOR TAT, you got trapped in your own words. So hit the nil right on the head. Control teh media in a Mulsim country and they call it SUPRESSION of teh media, control the media in a Eurpopean or no Muslim country and its called "Greater national Interest". See what I mean? you also mentioned China in this, well if China was ALL DOOM AND GLOOM line Western media prtrays them I dont see any uprising in that country at all, Tainamen was a sect, other than THAT MY FREIND ZERO. I do however see constant uprisings my Nagaland rebels and Mezoram rebels in your country I also see the South completely allienated from the ruling elite in NORTH. So who is better?

Let Pakistan show the Indian channels and movies freely.
Then we will know who is scared and for what.
Let the real leaders of POK come to India and speak their mind which will tell what Pakistan's armies and the government deals with the Kashmiris on the other side.
India allows our side of Kashmiri leaders to go to Pakistan why dont pakis allow.
