Isn't India paying just too much attention to Nepal....?
I mean If they dont want the old treaty, fine with it ... Fence off the borders, and see to it that Nepali's are denied jobs in India. Also stop the stuff about not having Visas and all that crap. One of the reason so many Indians go to nepal to spend their holidays, is because no Visas are needed. Once that is stopped, the tourism industry in Nepal will be crippled.
On the flip side, the fear is that Nepal will be closer to China. But with the leftists in power in Nepal, that is anyway bound to happen.
Nepal is too insignificant to merit the amount of attention which it does in India nowadays !

Yes the treaty should be amended. India cannot prevent incursions on borders other than with Nepal. and here comes a suggestion to seal the borders. Nepalese no more are dependent on India for jobs as well as tourists. And anyway Indians are supposed to be the worst travellers all over the world. Imagine India has lost Kailash Mansarovar to China. And ow it would lose the birth place of Buddha as well and maybe Pashupatinath will be a distant dream for Indians opposed to Nepal.
My dear Lion King India is the only Nation which is a shield against China. And God forbid the day when India is attacked on all fronts. And you will not find a single brave Gorkha who will face the enemies. Do you expect coffin-khaus to protect India? Arrogance has already cost India dearly on all front frinys.

I would like to correct u. India is shield against China for Nepal. If someone have China as a friend he does not need enemy. India or Indians are never stood against Nepal but Nepal now helping enemies of India. Indian Hindu feel proud about Nepal is only Hindu Rashtra in the world but now as they are secular what we can say God save Nepal from Dragon and ISI. Plz take lesson from History Indira Gandhi nourished Bhindranwala and Killed by his man. Rajeev Gandhi nourished LITTE and killed by LITTE, USA nourished Osama and got 9/11. Now Nepal is friend of ISI what will happen? ISI will use/and using Nepal for anti India activity with help of Nepal communist parties. One day these terrorists will destroy Nepal also. India have people to save India with Gorkha or without Gorkha. China never dare to attack India now it is not India of 1960. A lot of things have been changed. So dear Napali do not fear about India's freedom we have sufficient braves in India.

Namraj where do you live ..are you indian? if so i guess we indians do not need citizen like you who live in india eat bread and butter of india and your heart and mind always towards other countries . And you talk nepal doesnt need india ..buddy give us a break even US needs india and ur talking about Nepal, if you think indian are worst visitiors still many countries wish to provide job to indians they know our callibre and how loyal we indians are..i guess india should take tough stands on many matters should how can our country be in lose by helping stupids who dunno have value for help I guess border should be sealed no nepali should be allowed to work in india let them run to china , no visas should be given and Namraj please clear ur basic then talk about anything

We do not need any nepali 'shield' against india. where was the shield when china attacked india in 1962. you need india as shield against china.
Well you do not need it now as your govt. has become a stooge of china.

Nepal is a shield against China..!! That must be the biggest joke of the decade..! Here is a country, which is amongst the poorest in the world ... with a security apparatus dependent on the charity of others ! In what way will it "shield" india from china ??
And by the way, India is not dependent only on the Gorkha's to face the enemy.!

Hey lion king and Deepak Bose. I have been hearing lots of craps about india and nepal by you guyz. Dude.. you should realise that indians and nepalese both are dependent on each other for whateverso different reasons. There are many and many indians that are in nepal who are doing jobs.. nowadyas.. many teachers in india are jobless and they come to teach in nepal. thats only one example.. remember.. how much unemployment you have in india. and part of that is satisfied by getting jobs in nepal. And i totally agree on the revision of 1950 treaty. May be you guyz should totally read it and then decide which is rational. I agree that there are many low posts jobs helded by nepalese people in india. But did u realise that low posts are very much important for the upper posts to run smoothly.

Having an additional sec or two spend sometime working out this thing and its one less headache. It helps us. There is a lot of hydel energy to have from there. Think its worth it.
