Was the free passage given to citizens of Nepal for employment and recruitment to the Army in India a part of the 1950 Indo Nepal agreement?

Yes and that is the reason India's borders are still safe. This is not meant to undermine the other soldiers in the army. Imagine the bloggers on this site getting killed to reclaim Kargil....all that these guys could do is abuse one and all. They must be not even aware w about the happenings in their house.

Ahem! You are forgettin Sikhs Marathas Bengalis Andhraites even Buddhists of the Ladaksh scouts! India is not protected by Nepal. In my home state of Punjab even Nepali street chowkidars have been replaced by indigenous people. I think that the situation is the other way round. India represents a land of opportunity for Nepali persons. Wonder how many of them go to China for employment?
