what about us hindus? do we respect it enough? I have seen families with so many ganesha idols that they have let the old ones slip into dusty corners

the ganesha population has sky-rocketed in the last 10-15 years in India .... it has becoma a fashion to give ganesha idols

In india, lord ganesha is not gifted for the purpose of fashion but instead it is given to ensure that to erase all the obstacles and bring in good luck. I think no one has gifted u with Lord Ganesha. If you are a luckly born then one day you will be gifted with Lord Ganesha Idol and you will realise the value of it.

Its Ok .If somebody gives me jesus christ INRi iw ill keep it as a antique.I amy not pray everyday .But i will keep it as a gift.So ther is nothing wrong in gifting her Ganesha.
