Dalai Lama is respected by Tibetans and specialy by Refugee Tibetans? India had Gandhi who preeched Non-violence!But others such As Great Netaji subhash had diffrent views and wanted Indepondance at all costs! When Netaji ,a great popular leader was democratically elected Leader of the Congress in 1938? !Gandhi protested and thretened to quit congress if Netaji was not removed and great Netaji bowing to Gandhi resigned and left congress Dr.dr pattabhi Dr Pattabhi Sitaraimayya was made priseident in 1938!the Netaji who was under house arrest left India via Afghanistan as attired in afghani Maulavi! He met Germany leaderrs even Hitler and others and went Japan and formed Azad Hind Fauz !He gought against Colonial poweres for Indepndance of his country! The Netaji's life is known to every one!India had Bhagat singh ,Rajguru ,sukhdev who gave their life for their Nation !To say that Dalai Lama is the only person to 'with the influence and credbilty to presaude Tibetans to eschew villence is a farce! Is that means all Tibetans want force to kick chinese from their motherland! If so why not one has been able to make dent for the last 50 years! And do patriotic Natioalist wait for such a long time! The aptriots fight and give their life for their mother land!Do Tibet has no leaders such as Netaji ,Bhagat singh , Rajguru and sukhdev and the list is undless!Tibetan wake up from the shackles of chinese occupation and shackles of Dalai Lama too !

You are correct to some extent. Tibetans need to diversify their struggle. Dalai Lama path is one path, they must strategise other options. Tibetans must create a policy think-tank of experts, beyond their own communities. They have learn to struggle and sacrifice. They have to fight, then only others like us will support and help.
