Aparna,... This only shows ur lack of understanding of the English language..Read thru\' and u wud find there is nothing wrong in the language of this Rediff article. PLEASE STOP FINDING FAUL;T ANYWHERE AND EVERYWHERE.. Do something sensible and nice for the mankind and ur fellow readers.....
The sentence above only states that the Pak Govt has forwarded the cause TO the Pak President.. Thanks and have a nice weekend ...ahead

Gentleman, thanks for ur large-heartedness. But people generally don't wish others a happy week-end on a Sunday, which in my part of the world is the beginning of the week. (Or may be it's my lack of understanding of world affairs..poor me!)
And abt my understanding of the english language...forget it..u dont look like an authority on the language either. Since u have lot of time at hand wishing people great weekeneds on s a Sunday, pl take time and read it once again...Since I lived most part of my professional life editing news reports in good journals, my understanding of english tells me it should have been "The Pakistan cabinet (or whoever, because President is part of Government)has forwarded to President Pervez Musharraf a proposal to commute all death penalties to life imprisonment ..."
Since I am going on a week-long holiday, I would not be able to come back and see what more nonsense u would scribble.

dakkan call all ur lord kiraparan followers to come n settle in india let sri lanka lead a normal life. ppl like u after 50yrs will wage a war in US then in canada then in mysia then in spore. tamil is second citizen everywhere except india.
