Tibet
by Lobsang on Apr 18, 2008 05:40 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

It is sad to see that an event like Olympics which is supposed to bring unity and peace is discussed for other reasons than sports. But, then what can one expect when such a prestigious event is being hosted by a country like China who is known more for supplying cheap AK 47's to rebels in India and other parts of the world like Sudan. Chinese army directly kill innocent Tibetans but they also indirectly kill others too. The Olympic torch this time round signifies Chinese brutal power and aggressive policies and nothing else.

Well, even in Pakistan many say that innocent Kashmiris are killed by Indian military. Who is an innocent is a big question? Are terrorists in Kashmir are innocent? Well, Tibetians monks are not innocent, but offlate they are taking the route similar to militants by disturbing the general life in countries are residing. Whether it is UK or France or India, Tibetians have no right to disturb peace. On top of it our media, has another news items to say that no one is cheering up because of security. If there is no security and if there is violence, I am sure media will cheer up giving latest breaking news. If somebody comes to your home for protection, you will protect him. If he creates disturbance at your home, you only have to throw him out to maintain peace in your home. India did the right thing by providing security to torch and if doesnt cheer up many, so be it.
