Gyanendra is probably the only Nepali monarch to have been crowned and dethroned twice. He and his wayward son have met their fate for wiping off the family of Birendra. Given that a democratic country like India should not support monarchy, India has to play its cards well as China has now got proxy access to the porous UP-Nepal border by getting the Maoists elected in Nepal. I have every doubt whether the Maoists will 'loose' any election in Nepal, as the example in WB and the rest of the world shows, communists do not relinquish power unless forced to do so.
