Nuclear energy issue refuses to go away. We cannot live with it,nor live without it!
Our politicians can agree to nothing! A true frog in the well lot. Oil is hitting new highs every day. It is making the inflation rate shoot-up. The world is in boil. The oil price rise has an indirect effect,as corn etc are diverted by rich countries for bio-fuel which deprives food for the poor.
Nuclear energy may not solve the problem on its own. But it is a diversifying strategy and keeps us in the loop of this technology. Even Egypt, UAE, Saudi Arabia and of course Iran are going ahead now. Politics plays a part.Pakistan gets the technology from China and passes that to Saudi. Saudi has money & Pakistan has technology. They have common religion as a binding factor.
We have made enemies of all. We have no friends! When we cry from the roof-top the names of all as our enemy, we are left alone to mind our own business of in-fighting!
Let us make a decision soon. The best seems to be not to close the door & at the same time go for renewables. The rising graph of oil will soon meet that of solar energy. Once the panels from silicon, which are from abundant sand is in place, the raw material is free from our ancient & dependable Sun God, He is generous & gives more when we need - during summer!
But, if we are more interested in getting at the throats of each other, we will have a bleak future of our own making! We are busy digging our own graves! We will drown in our egos!
