MSP
by Nitin Dutt on Apr 18, 2008 10:55 AM   Permalink

The problem is that govt always buys from teh farmer at MSP inthe name of protecting him but actually it is protecting the industries who buy from these farmers at much lwer rate then available in world market. A family of four working fpr eight months in fields make rs. 1800 after paying all expenses per month. That is way low they would earn by working as daily wages labors. This is causing influx of ppl to cities. the govt should buy at higher prices from farmers so that more and more ppl find agriculture and implementing new techniques attractive. Once agriculture becomes our main forte rather then IT or services. We will be solving lots of our problems. No muscle power or money power can match the food power. Experts have already predicted that future wars will be fought for water & food.
