Nehru dynasty and his favourit general, the wicked Paul is the culprit here. Nehru's bad karma while seeking empty fame: 1. tried to stretch India's border too deep inside without any fall-back plan. 2. It's favourite General, Kaul didn't knew how to fight as his sole experience in WW-II was to entertain British troops. 3. India, under Kaul did not utilize it's air-force fearing Chinese air-power. In reality only India had air-field close to China border, a big big plus. Had India utilized it's air-force, the Indo-China war would have been something to be proud of.
It's time the youth takes over Indian politices, other wise God save India. Out PM should into his 50s and not 70s, at the most. Look at MACRO LEVEL and Narendra Modi is the perfect candidate.
Unity within Diversity. United we win, Divided we lose.

Rahul Gandhi is the youngest and fittest candidate. Modi at 50 years is another old bandicoot who the indian youth do not want.

Sundarajan, Don;t go by English Media propoganda. Has Modi fought an election on Caste base or relegion base ? Does he pamper particular community ?Does he give any plump position to his MLA's like chairman of some organisation - which is noraml way of rewarding MLAs ? Have you tried to find out about the development/progress he has made in Gujarat Does he play politics based on minorty appeasement ? For him all citizens are equal. Do ou know the meaning of 'Communal' - if not then learn from Congress.

Narendra Modi is a nationalist and development oriented personality. He can and will work with any Indian who considers him/herself, an Indian first then whatever religion they have. It's proven that he is a very good administrator and India needs such administrator. Also, one should look at statistical #s on communal riots before pointing fingers. Congress, pre-Independence were very castiest and communal party. They were unable to tolerate a muslim, Jinnah as India's PM, hence the partition of India and the riots. These is long story, but the point I'm trying to make is, what you heard about Gujarat in 2000 (ages ago) was just an abberation.

Hey Mahendra .. I dont know who you are .. but you have done great research and yes all that you have said is 100 % true. Nehru did not anticipate a war and did not even increase military spendings, inspite of warnings by intelligence for a possible war, what was too ridiculous was that, china had already constructed a highway in the disputed Aksai chin area between Tibet and Xinjiang and Indian government did not even know it. Nehru's govt realized the road construction only when communist party leader Moa humiliated Nehru by saying the Aksin Chin still belongs to India. Kaul was a brainless man, in a higly mountainous terrain like Arunachal pradesh, he allowed the chinese troops to occupy the mountain peaks/ high terrain with ease and he was fighting them from deep down valley. Absolutely lack of military acumen. No doubt we lost 3500 men while china lost only 1400 (not due to Indian army, but bcos of freezing cold at high altitude).
