India's food problems are of its own making. Reform of the services and financial sectors has happened, but not of the agricultural sector, on which 65% of India depends for a livelihood.

why no article in rediff on agriculture shows how bad reforms and interests in food.

Please distribute free homes in metros like Mumbai.

We have been paying huge taxes and now we are ready to sell our votes.

ABC - Furnishing the house in Mumbai is also not an easy task. Now let the common man (Aam Aadmi) start milking the political paries.

All farmers should be made nominal govt employees.

there should be government owned agricultural lands in which these nominal farmers work

cricket stadiums, golf courses foot ball statiums and industrial compunds should be dismantled and made into agricultural land
