They lived in palatial mansions, but now, they cannot even sit near the palaces.... ropes were put around their necks, and their strings of pearls were broken. Their wealth and youthful beauty, which gave them so much pleasure, have now become their enemies. The order was given to the soldiers, who dishonored them [raped them], and carried them away. If it is pleasing to God's Will, He bestows greatness; if is pleases His Will, He bestows punishment

Mr.tabraiz khan, are you now trying to match their record? The atrocities committed by the Churches in the past is no justification for the Islamic fundamentalism.
There is no separation of State from the Chruches in the islamic countries even now. Till the Chruches were in control of the affairs of the state, they also committed henious crimes on humanity.
Pl download and read The Necessity of Atheism" by Dr. D.M. Brooks available freely at Project Gutenberg. The said book contains graphic description of atrocities committed by the Christians and Muslims in Europe and other parts of the wrold.
Pl also read "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by Khaled Hosseini (it was published in 2006 or so) to understand what was the condition of Afghanistan under Taliban rule.
