Do Nepali people understand the Maoism?
by naval digaria on Apr 14, 2008 02:21 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Nepalese turned to the maoist movement as a reaction to the poverty and hardships of their life. However, most nepalese do not really understand the essence of maoism and they do not have idea what is in store for them. China funded the maoist movement in Nepal with propaganda material, arms and monies. The people who took the bait were opressed and frustrated with the poverty. They do not have idea that now they have opted for another kind of repression. Sooner or later, their religious freedom will be gone, their economy will be run by chinese, and the government will be just puppet of China.

our UPA government do not seem to understand that this is a serious security threat. Many nepalese work in India and the maoist have already infiltrated this segment. Now with their government in power, it will be done in more energetic way with more resources.
