Nobody has discovered the bones of Mohammad , but they all believe he existed. People also say Jesus Christ existed ! The hadiths which describe Mohammad's life are taken to be true. But for some strange reason Hindu Puranas are not considered authentic.

No body is saying that Hindu Puranas are not considered authentic Harry VanDeusan. Ofcourse they are authentic. Bible have several versions and most of the Christians don't believe in it at all, churches are closing fast( I know at least 10 Churches in London alone which have closed there doors to Christianity they have been either a Hindu temple or Sikh Gurudwaras one can not tell if it was church once and Christians don't care they haven't got time for it. I also know about a church that has been converted to a living accommodation. Koran and other Muslim religious books are also not original there are many versions floating about. The only things is that Muslims are afraid of there mullahs who might put a fatwa on them for blasphemy against the Koran(you see and read all this virtually every day).That is why they don't speak a word against it. Hindus,Sikhs etc are tolerant religions we don't go out and start killing just because some one has expressed his/her views. The latest incidence in Pakistan where a hindu was beaten to death for expressing his views on Islam. We don't do that kind of thing we educate the person the right and wrong of it. To believe in it or not is then left to them, we don't beat the living daylight out just for not believing and expressing ones view. That is why the authenticity of our scripts are under scrutiny all the time,it is not that they are not true of course they are true, at least we believe they are. It is just that we are very tolera

Cont from above:- tolerant people we like to live in peace and let live in peace. But one thing that we don't tolerate is taking advantage of our good nature, then we can also be vicious.
