Tamil Literature & God
by on Apr 14, 2008 04:58 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

My friends from Northern Part of India, would be happy to know that, the first work in Tamil Grammar(which is undated) was compiled/written by Tholkappian, who was a student of Sage Agastya. The tamil language and Hinduism are inseparable. As per legend Lord Shiva Himself presided over Tamil Sangam. Though Kamba Ramayana was written a 1000 years back, Lord Krishna/Vishnu has been referred by ILango in his great epic Silapathikaram which is dated in late BC. Only a few self professed politicians claim otherwise; God & Tamil Literature are seamlessly linked.
