Then let's have a plebiscite in Tibet, whether they want to be part of china or be indpendent. And no Hans can vote. If you don't agree then just shut up...

LOL .... by that logic are you willing to have a plebiscite in kashmir on same terms?
let's not interfere in china's internal affairs, let alone support a separatist movement in china, when we hate it when someone supports separatist movement in kashmir.

Chinese invaded Tibet in 1950 and King of Kashmir wilfully agreed to annexe Kashmir to India to save the kingdom from a tribal attack.

sam is talking about plebiscite, not a lecture in history ... LOL
king of kashmir was a hindu, he sided with india when the population was mostly muslim, so that decision was biased. and india did send forces into kashmir to fight off the attack from pak sponsored tribals or whatever you call them.

I've been living with chinese expats and what you say is not true, you have seen just what you call as the urban china, outside shanghai and all the urban establishments china is a big mess.So please don't glorify a failed system.Yes china has made big achievements , so has germany under hitler, autocratic regimes can make quick decisions and bring change fast. The impact those regimes leave on the minds and consciousness of the people are more damaging than any progress can justify. However i don't justify the tirade many silly people accuse about the chinese, that they are subhuman, dishonest, treacherous etc. Those are just racial bigotry and nothing else. The chinese government itself understands the problems and they are trying to make china an open society by gradually easing out the restraints. So i won't be surprised if china becomes a democracy in another 10 years. If china becomes a democracy it's growth rate will slow down but it will have a more friendly society.

Suresh ji; can you imagine how your parents and grandparents must have felt if someone said Nehru and others were just non-sense and that Indians were happy under the British. Please be considerate.
