The india is dominated by caste system and the upper caste are administering this nation at all level. so they are the real barrier for indias improvement. We should realise that each and everybody participation is required to uplift the india to super power. It is evident now india moving to super power becouse of reservation(all societies participation).

This is SO right!

Exactly how many Nobel Prizes you quota candidates have won?

Why is it that two Nobel Prizes in Physics were won by Tamil Brahmins who did not get any special treatment?

You can allow a horse to breed by giving proper atmosphere. But no matter whatever you do, you can not breed a mule. Sorry if it sounds rude but in simple term you can not gain anything from reservation. It has been over 60years that the reservation policy has been going on. Poor people are still poor, perhaps poorer. A farmer dies out of hunger. A SC/ST student has been still struggling to crack IIT with poor score. Whereas a brilliant no-caste student has been denied admission to an ordinary University! This is what the reservation is all about. It is good for no one but the incompetent cowards

Hey, Vempaty, Do you have statistics to prove that reservation has not helped people? Like most other half-baked morons in this forum, you blurt out your conclusion by looking around from your terrace.

All you scukers who feel hurt by reservation will have to remember one thing - reservation is not a magic wand, for it to produce results to your expectations. We are dealing with folks who have not seen daylights for 4000 yrs. Making an SC/ST student get a seat in IIT is not the ultimate objective of reservation policy. If as you said, some so-called low caste student took a seat in an ordinary college, instead of a brilliant student, it shows the reservation system is working. You are looking at one bright student. We are looking at an entire family of the lower caste student and his descendants who will look up to him for progress. Just a common sense question, If somebdoy is really 'brilliant' as you see, can't he prosper in any other way?

Societal progress will not come without discomfort for one or the other. For 4000 yrs, resources have been going to the same communities, on heirarchial basis. Where did your concern for merit go then? Did you look for competetive placements? Did you think about sharing resources?

Mind you, I am a forward caste guy. But I am not hurt the recent events. I am happy that its going to attract students who never hoped to progress.

As for me and my descendants. We won't die. we will prosper someway, using our upper caste 'brillianc
