discrimination continues
by Pastor Nanchil on Apr 14, 2008 10:51 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

though reservation was provided at IITs for SC and ST, the SC and ST students are discriminated against in the IITs. their admission forms are of a different colour and their answer sheets are also of a different colour. they are given low marks when compared to the forward caste students. the forward caste professors ill-treat and discriminate against the SC ST students.

many SC ST people complained to me that they are not treated well in employment also. they are not given increments and promotions on par with the forward caste people.

so I demand that separate colleges, IITs and IIMs are set up exclusively for SC, ST and OBC candidates. everyone in these colleges must be from the reserved categories only. this is the only way to end discrimination by forward castes.

similarly separate companies must be set up exclusively for SC, ST and OBC candidates. this is the only way to end oppression, harassment and discrimination by upper castes.

An OBC-IIT is a great idea.

At least, overseas universities seeking students for their graduate programs and quality employers will know they don't have to waste time on applications from and campus interviews at the OBC-IIT.

At the same time, I think it is high time the Church in India establishes OBC churches so that Dalits know to avoid them.

Well I dont agree with Mr. Nanchil.
I'm myself a student of IITK for 2 years and I have not found any such discrimination. The administration does not discriminate between students on the basis of caste.
Please do not discourage prospective students from coming to IITs by writing such baseless facts.
