Reservations are justified only for discriminated people like Dalits, STs and Widows. Becasue they face certain social hindrances--they look down by OBCs [Dalits often say OBCs are harsher than upper caste people]. Similarly Dalits find it difficult to get private accomodation outside the campus. Similarly, widows can suffer discrimination and unpleasant comments.
BUT OBCs ARE NOT DISCRIMINATED PEOPLE, AND THEY DON'T DESERVE RESERVATIONS.

Yes u r right in aa away..OBC r much more powerful than they were . And in general few dares to discriminate against them in public places..(Chances are that if some one does so, they will be beaten up to pulp). That is why we have many anti OBC talk in this internet forum where one can be anonymous. But u dont find any aggressive anti OBC move in the streets or no abusive language is talked against them in public. But that is out of the fear factor and not because upper cats have suddenly started respecting them.In the inner conscience of a upper cast ego, there is till a lot of perverted pride remining which they carried on from ages.
Now while it is true that OBC are not discriminated in public places, they are discriminated agaist in public institutions, or wherever there is an excess concentration of Brahmins and upper casts. The reservation policy aims at targeting these areas and trying to influx these places with OBC s and SCs.
This is happening because OBC are powerful and not because they were not. If they were not powerful they would have never able to enforce a law in their favor.
Remember so rules will be made in the society based on the will and wish of who is powerful. In olden times Brahmins and local rulers were so powerful that the laws were made in their favor. Now the OBCs and SC are so much powerful that laws are made in their favor.

HERE IS WHAT I SEE FROM MY ANGLE, CONGRESS/UPA HAS CROSSED THE SANITY LINE, AND THEY WILL SEE END OF THEIR REIN OVER INDIA, BECAUSE THEY PLAYED WITH FIRE THIS TIME. YOU DON'T PEOPLE ON STREET BUT WILL SEE LOT MORE DURING NEXT ELECTION TO CAST THEIR VIEW ON BALLOT BOX.
