I still don't understand....

I still don't understand....the Government of India run by Commies, Congress and an Italian.

1. Everyone should be equal....but divides people based on Majority & Minority.

2. All Castes are the same...but preaches the concept of FCs, BCs, SCs, STs and now, OBCs.

3. All religions are equal...but when someone talks about ancient Hindu values, it is communalism. But, implements religious schemes for other religions.

I will never understand...

Naveen,

All your points are valid.. But, you have to visit rural india to see for yourself whether this is true...

There is so much hatred against the low caste people and there are so many barriers they have to cross in order for them to excel...

That is why reservations are becoming unavoidable. An even growth of all sects is essential for the well being of our democracy.

very true..but do you think the urban SC/ST/OBC are giving chance to the rural folks.. then it is basically becoz of economy and not the caste.. the General Merit and Intelligent people are telling the same thing..get good education at basic level and not at the high level.. let us build good schools in villages and give good education..why at higher levels..

I understand your point too. But, reservations are not the correct solution. Even, Ambedkar wanted it to be removed after some years. But, the big problem is no one can dare to take back these reservations after some years because of vote politics and violence.

It is the Government's duty to provide necessary food, clothing, shelter and education to the deprived. It is it's duty to make sure that the under-privileged are uplifted socially and economically by providing the necessary tools, infrastructure and laws. However, it should make sure that other communities are not negatively affected by these laws.

Reservations simply kill merit and killing merit is not good for any society.
