In the US, there are no such problems - every candidate wishing to stand for office can try his luck, if he can get himself on the ballot - voters of each party vote in the primaries for the candidate they want to represent them in the upcoming elections. Will India ever have such an open, 'democratic' system, or will she stick to 'selling' seats? Is the Pope Catholic?

system of which u r talking about will only result in more corrupt & bogus votes for selecting canditates through votes in party,,
