Colonization and partition reinstated the values of education, industrialization, secularism, democracy, one-law at least for non-muslim majority, uniform civil code, gender equality, research, development, science and technology and we continued on the same values of human civilization. Muslims always had a choice to change themselves but instead they want to live separately and those who didn't still want status-quo in the form of personal codes etc. But did they gain anything. Finally, religion is about pushing for higher values and not really status-quo, in terms of what is written in a book and pulling oneself down eventually with lower values. Who divided India? And what was its basis. It was religion. And this misguidance, is now an universal phenomenon. The Europeans, Americans have realized it now. Colonization was one of the best things that happened to bring modernization to India. All Nobel laureates came during that time. We need real secularism, We need One-Law, Uniform Civil Code, Gender Equality all over the world irrespective of religion. Muslims will blame everybody other than themselves for their misfortunes and push that ideology on others.

muslims oppose Uniform civil code as this law will transgress into the religious limits. religion is a personal issue and let it remain so. any act to generalise could result in friction. After all muslims personal law board doesnt harm or transgress into non-muslims matters and muslims are totally comfortable with it. Offcourse colonisation had some positive impact on India but it has its negative shades also. Gender equality is good but this slogan shouldnt be used for the cause of exploitation.another thing Nobel prize was not there during medieval times for Indians to claim.

You are lucky that you are not in America, Europe, Turkey, China, Japan where they have dealth with this firmly and with full military strength. Turkey is aggressively secular, modernized and developed. China also maintains that position and keeps a tight leash on the Uighurs. And Americans and Europeans are constantly monitoring this situation.

As long as Islam does not civilize and secularize itself with Uniform Civil Code and Gender Equality, problems of Kashmir, Pakistan, Bangladesh will continue forever. Partition allowed India to develop and should be maintained.

Muslims are at the receiving end because some people use the name of Islam to wage their battles and terrorism. now instead of muslims if Hindus would have been targetted by these majority wielding christians, do you realise how much time these christian driven US, Europe would have taken to weed out the Hindus. Hinduism would have virtually perished by now in front of the might of the christians.

Christians, Jews, Parsis, Sikhs, Buddhists and Hindus have the same value system in the 21st century; All of them have modernized. Only Islamists are fascists and fundamentalists with no progress and always justifying status-quo. Islam always looks at religion in terms of numbers rather than values just to exploit women. But all others believe in One-Law, Gender Equality, Uniform Civil Code, Freedom, Democracy and "True" secularism.
