Its a known fact that the main reson for this quota is to divide the Hindu votes. Dividing hindu votes and banking on Muslim/Christian votes has been the formula by Congress for a long time.
Thers a rumor that saudis gave crores to congress to implement this quota. Its indeed sad that the common indians do not realize this and media misleads them as well.

And if Saudi's could run govt policies in India by bribing the Hindu majority led politicans - then Hindu votes deserve to be divided. Don't get me wrong - whats the use of having a bunch of spineless Hindu politicans who for a couple of crores divide their own votes ? I would rather have an honest and dynamic Muslim / Sikh leader like Dr. Abdul Kalam / Dr. Manmohan Singh - people with knowledge and integrity than spineless jerks whose claim to fame is religion based.
Yaaar - its our country. ONE INDIA. And our country attained greatness in the past becoz of its cultural mosaic and tolerance of other religions. Please don't talk rubbish and bring in a conspiracy theory about Hinduism being marginalised for every goddamed problem on earth.

Boss, politicians will do whatever they can to remain in power - thats no rocket science. But to claim that Saudi govt. paid crores and our people did that to appease them is ridiculous. Come on - when the problem lies at home - look at the problem and find a way out. Don't blame a third party and money being paid to our govt. to do that. And if you see the OBC drama being enacted - its about consolidation of votes , not about dividing Hindu votes or such crap.And my point lies there - if a couple of Hindu politicians can divide the country becoz they received payment from Saudi - they have NO business to lead the country. Look at the other way - if a western country would pay a couple of billion dollars to the Saudi King or UAE Sheikh or even the sheikh of a poor country like Yemen, do you think they will pass a law to give facilities over and above their muslim brethren ? U gotta be joking on this.....So these kinda allegations are best refrained from.

I respect ur opinion, but facts are facts. Its has always been the agenda of our neighbours to marginalize hinduism as its the only major non-abrahamic religion in the world. and Congress is good at it. Sikhism is a non-abrahamic religion too, so is budhism, jainism etc. but are small and not major.

No way Mr Sam Quota is bascially generated by the caste system. Remove the caste system, none will need any quota or reservation.

I disagree. There IS no caste system. It only exists in the form of quotas. The proof is that I have never felt the need to mention my caste except when I fill out a admission form. If there is no quota, there won't be any caste system.

I never visited that ever. My wife is from a diffrent caste. My sister is also married to a diffrent caste. This is the trend in the cities. I wonder which caste my kid belongs to. All I know is that is is a plain Hindu, Thats all.

Stop killing animals and eating their flesh. Just tell this to the parents of the Brahmin girl you liked and they'll agree. May be they'll be hesitant initially but they'll agree to the marriage.

I am not even a brahmin, but i had to check instantly if my Jaat made it to OBCs.. Thankfully, i didn't... How did Proud Jat, and Yadevs fell in the category of OBCs, i have no idea... So they want to marry a brahmin girl while indulging in habit of eating animal flesh? Why do you not first become brahmin, and sacrifice your desires in certain code, and conduct of respective caste... Muh mein daant nah, paet me aant nah, magne aiya chuma chuma...
You have your caste, marry in your caste... If there are few exceptionals, you can excercise that... Even Baniya will not let you marry his daughter with that victimhood mentality.
